The Terms We Use, According to Google

Posted by Kivi Leroux Miller on Feb 20, 2007 in Nonprofit Communications |

As of today, “nonprofit communications” is by far the most popular term we use to describe the work discussed on this blog, according to my blog poll. If you are seeing this in email or a reader, click on over the blog and take the poll if you haven’t already.

I tried the terms in Google Trends, but they are not searched enough to generate a graph. I took “nonprofit” out of the terms and this is what Google says:

It shows that “marketing” is searched about twice as much as “communications.” I found it interesting that “PR” is searched more than “public relations,” but “PR” does stand for other things, like “Puerto Rico,” which skews it.

I’m sticking with Nonprofit Communications as my blog name and primary tag.
