You&#039;re right on target about the differences between the &quot;textbook&quot; way to define a marketing strategy, and the reality of non-profit marketing. 

I&#039;d suggest adding three more components to the end of your &quot;back of the napkin&quot; strategy:

target the audience;
deliver a call-to-action; and
measure results.

I know it&#039;s &quot;doubling&quot; the steps, but it helps to acheive strong results.</description>
