The Webinar Buzz . . .

"It was a fast moving, quick learning experience. I loved the fact that you don't have to sacrifice a lot of time out of a busy day in order to take away lots of good ideas and information."

-- Lori Rondello, Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition

Results Are In: Here’s What I’ll Add to Webinar Schedule

Photo by Annie Mole on Flickr

I didn’t let a cat or my kid pick the webinar pass winners this time. I used a legit random number generator!

Thanks to everyone who completed my recent survey on which webinar topics you want to see most and least.

I’ll be adding these four topics to the webinar schedule before the end of 2008:

    – Short & Sweet: Boiling Down Your Message So Everyone Gets It

    – How to Write Moving Personal Profiles about Donors and Other Supporters

    – Forget the General Public: Defining and Researching Your Target Audience

    – Blogging for Nonprofits: Tips, Traps, and Tales

Stay tuned for the actual schedule.

And the five randomly selected free webinar passes go to

    Cindy Olnick, Los Angeles Conservancy
Tracy Oster, Communities In Schools of Federal Way
Kristi Bailey, Ronald McDonald House Charities
Ann Balaban, New Beginnings Cat Rescue
    Kristen Deitrick, Tennessee Environmental Council

Watch your email for a message from me on how to redeem your freebie!

P.S. Don’t forget Magic Keys Radio, live on Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET - We’ll be interviewing “Parties with a Purpose” expert Gail Perry. Come ask questions!

Hi Kivi, Wish I could join Friday’s discussion of taglines. TAILS has the worst! “Where good things happen every day.” I’m hoping to change it now that I’m a Board member. It’s a touchy issue with some people but it’s such an awful tagline that says nothing about TAILS, which stands for “Taking Animals Into Loving Shelter.” What was the Board thinking when they adopted the other tagline!?!
