My point isn&#039;t that social media replaces person-to-person communication, but that social media, is in fact &quot;real&quot; too. I have very real relationships with people I have never met face to face.

		<description>Yes, social media keeps people connected, but no, it&#039;s not the same as real life.  You can&#039;t see or hear the person with whom you are communicating (you may have never even met the person or know what she looks like).  Their personality and views are communicated through the written word only, with no speech inflections or facial or body movements to display reactions or depths of feelings.

It&#039;s great to be able to stay in touch with people - but it&#039;s not as good as real life.</description>
