What We Are Looking Forward to @ the Carnival
By Kivi Leroux MillerI’m hosting this week’s edition of the Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants, and I asked what people in the nonprofit sector were looking forward to (spring always puts me in that kind of mood). Here’s what some of your colleagues are eagerly anticipating . . .
Social Butterfly is looking forward to lots in life, the blogosphere, social marketing, and the nonprofit arena.
Marc at The Fundraising Coach is looking forward to speaking gigs in May.
Edith at Dream Think Act is looking forward to a poverty-free world.
Next week the Carnival will be hosted by Michelle Murrain at Zen and the Art of Nonprofit Tech.
Inspiring People You Care About @ Carnival
By Kivi Leroux MillerThis week’s Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants is live at Sea Change Strategies, with some pleasantly surprising responses to Mark’s question about how nonprofits can inspire their audiences. A definite must-read this week.
Next week, for April 7, the Carnival returns home here to Nonprofit Communications. It’s early spring here in North Carolina. Yellow bells and red buds are blooming and asparagus, daffodils, and tulips are all making quite a show of it. This is one of my favorite times of year because every day, something new is coming to life again and popping up out of the dirt. Our big backyard garden looks different every 24 hours.
So here is my question to all of you nonprofit bloggers: what are you most looking forward to in the coming weeks and months? What or who is it that you can’t wait to see? In anticipation of what event are you crossing off the days on your desk calendar with big Xs? What’s exciting you most as you look forward? Send your submissions to npc.carnival AT yahoo.com or use the Blog Carnival form by Sunday noon Eastern, April 6, GMT-4.
Carnival: Pull Your Base into Your Organization
By Kivi Leroux MillerNancy Schwartz has posted this week’s edition of the Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants on how you can more fully involve your base of supporters in your organization.
She’s highlighted several great examples of how nonprofits are doing just that through a variety of means, including several creative campaigns that you should consider borrowing and remaking as your own.
Nancy says the “whole dynamic has shifted and you have to embrace it” — I agree completely. In fact, I’m preparing for a two-workshop later this week with this message at its core. More on that later . . .
Next week the carnival travels to Sea Change Strategies.

By Kivi Leroux MillerSam Davidson is hosting this week’s Carnival of Nonprofit Consultants with a green theme for St. Patrick’s Day. You’ll find posts on how nonprofits can save both kinds of green: money and the environment.
Next week the Carnival heads over to Getting Attention with Nancy Schwartz.
