Writing for websites and email is very different from writing for print. Do you understand the differences?

Good online writing is much shorter and is organized differently to appeal to the way people read on a computer screen. If you contribute to your League's website or e-newsletter, you need to incorporate these differences into your online writing.

During this webinar, you will learn the important differences between writing for print and for the computer screen, how to make your online writing more appealing, and simple formatting tricks that can drastically improve your website or email's performance.

You'll also learn the three most important characteristics of good online writing. You'll practice applying them as we work together to improve some web pages that need some serious online writing help!

We'll also have plenty of time for your specific questions too.

How to Register

When you click on the Register button, you'll be taken to a brief registration page at GoToWebinar, our webinar provider.

On that page, you'll enter the email address where we should send your connection link. Please add training @ nonprofitmarketingguide.com (without the spaces) to your spam filter to ensure you receive our messages. You will receive a confirmation email within minutes and reminder emails one day and one hour before the webinar begins. Those reminder emails will contain links to copies of the handouts.

How to Connect

WHEN: Please connect 5-10 minutes before the start time.

WHERE: At your computer, via GoToWebinar.com, a user-friendly webinar service.

HOW: Click on the link in the email from GoToWebinar. In addition to the email you received when you registered, you will also receive reminder emails the day before and one hour before the webinar begins. You can use the links in any of these emails.

You can listen to the audio either (1) through your computer speakers (VoIP) or (2) over the phone (long-distance fees may apply.) By default, you will be connected via VoIP. Once you login, you can change your connection to the phone line, if you wish. Simply follow the instructions in the webinar window.
