Litmus recently released their 2021 State of Email Engagement which had some interesting insights.

Included in that was data regarding when subscribers were more likely to open your emails. They have it broken down by several countries, but here is the data for the US.

Looks like morning is the most popular time with about 7.4% of all opens happening at 10am and 21.2% happening between 9am and noon local time.

The report also shared:

  • Where subscribers engage with email and how email client popularity impacts your email strategy and execution
  • How subscribers engaging with email, including how long they spend reading an email and early trends on Dark Mode
