I’m headed to Atlanta this afternoon for NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Conference. If you’ll be there too, I hope you’ll say Hi and join me at some of these events.
If not, I’ll be sharing some of the “best of” here on the blog and on Twitter (follow me @kivilm). I also encourage you to check out many of the sessions that will be shared live online. Learn more about following the conference from afar.
Wednesday Night
I’m attending the Girls Only Slumber Party to celebrate NTEN’s 10th birthday, hosted by Holly, NTEN’s executive director. We’ll see what kind of mayhem ensues . . . I’ll definitely be returning to my own room to sleep in my own bed!
Thursday
Bright and early, I’m meeting with the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta as part of the Day of Service. I’ll be helping the organization figure out a social media strategy.
After lunch, I’m co-hosting the Marketing and Fundraising Meet and Greet from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. with Nancy Schwartz and Sarah Durham. I’ll be giving away some Nonprofit Marketing Guide t-shirts. We had over 100 people last year. Can’t wait to meet and greet everyone this year!
Then I head off to practice my Ignite talk on “A Content Creation Strategy for a Busy Nonprofit.” The slides advance automatically every 15 seconds and I’m still working on my timing.
I’ll be hanging out at the Science Fair in the early evening, before heading over to the Ignite Reception from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. for the live show.
Friday
I’ll be session-hopping all day on Friday, so you can expect to see some blog posts come out of that. If the wireless is good, I may post several times on Friday. If not, I’ll get to it when I can. After dinner, I’ll probably swing by the After-Party.
Saturday
I’ll be signing an excerpt of my forthcoming book, “The Nonprofit Marketing Guide: High-Impact, Low-Cost Ways to Build Support for Your Good Cause” from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. My first book signing! (You can pre-order it from Amazon now.)
At 3:30 – 5:00 p.m., I’ll be presenting a session with Beth Kanter called “How to Design and Present Online Training People Will Love.” I’m bringing good wine from home to share with people who stick it out and come to our session! I’ll have some t-shirts to give away too.
I’m off to pack!
P.S. We’ve added a whole bunch of webinars to the schedule . . .
