A recent survey asked a sample of typical middle-class American donors, "Would you consider putting a gift for charity in your will?"

More than 90% of those donors enthusiastically said "Yes.

But then came the second question: "Have you already put a gift for charity in your will?"

The dismal answer: fewer than 10% had done so.

And why are donors not leaving a bequest to their favorite charities? Most say it's because it never occurred to them!

Well, that's an easy thing to fix.

In this brisk, no-nonsense, 90-minute webinar, Tom Ahern, one of the world's recognized masters of donor communication, will teach you a proven way to elicit bequests from your current donors. Tom will tell you the right words, style, and tone to use.

A pivotal part of the discussion: the profound discoveries of the UK's Richard Radcliffe, the world's leading researcher into legacy giving.

“We LOVE to hear Tom Ahern!  He’s just so darned real and full of the right information! A great motivator to make legacy giving part of your REGULAR fundraising cycle.” ~ Pamela Montgomery, Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley and previous webinar attendee

In the US, bequests currently represent a meager 8% of the charitable haul each year. And that percentage has not changed for decades. In the UK, on the other hand, bequests are 25% of the annual haul. And in Australia, bequests are fully 30% of the charity received by nonprofits nationwide, year after year. So we will examine bequest appeals from the Brits and the Aussies. And we'll learn from the good advice of Canada's bequest guru, David Love.

What has the rest of the world learned that we in the U.S. haven't tapped into? Tom will tell you, and you can use it to your advantage right away, helping ensure a steady stream of bequests coming into your organization for years to come.

If this is the year you've decided to get serious about bequest marketing, attend this unique, "best practices worldwide" webinar.
