My name is Lindsey Williams and I am the Multimedia Communications Coordinator at the Specially Gifted Foundation. At SGF, we serve families of children with disabilities by a special gift in the form of opportunity, resources, therapy equipment, monetary contribution, experience, and more. I handle all communications between potential recipient families from application to gift coordination, brand communication for gift sourcing and purchasing, social media content creation, and newsletter design.
And this is her typical day:
Before 8:00 a.m. – I check emails, confirm scheduled posts for the day, and respond to any social media comments/messages.
8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m –I hold a full time job at an autism clinic as a behavior therapist, so during normal business hours, I am busy, but check emails and contacts throughout the day – especially on my lunch break.
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – I spend lunch returning calls, responding to recipient emails, vendor emails, and all social media communication.
After 4:00 p.m – After 4PM, I check all means of communication. On Mondays, I collaborate with the foundation co-founders to solidify content for the week and expectations.
Every day, I check for recipient applications and put their information into our application log and send them an inquiry email requesting their family story and pictures, more on their child’s diagnosis, and what gift they feel will benefit their family and why.
I also create our monthly newsletter. This goes out once a month, but I design it the Monday afternoon a week before it goes out.
Thanks for sharing your day, Lindsey!
